A. Some portion of the funding be earmarked for expenditures related to the procurement of an investigative professional, sufficiently qualified to produce a “report” concerning the questionable legitimacy of the DeFi Educational Fund, the self-serving actions taken by it’s “managers”, and the degree to which these actions, in whole or part, effected benefit to these managers financially.
B. The investigative professional procured in (A.) publish the requested report, absent redaction.
B. 1) Should said report indicate a likelihood of criminal activity, deception, conspiracy, intent to defraud or any other act of moral turpitude - Those named in said report shall be subpoenaed to deposition by myself and council, for the to-be-filed civil complaint in The US District Court for the Middle District of Tennessee.
The proposal should outline that these funds are anticipated to be allocated over the next 4-5 years, so it wont have the same dilutive effect of selling 0,5M UNI all at once, which we agree would be a problem.
Although unconventional, satire is historically effective, and in this case creates a strong meme.
There is no downside to a post like this. Defi Education Fund is now under the microscope. They will either use the money effectively or face a tsunami of backlash from the community.
I would like to suggest that you improve your proposal with a bit about extracting maximum yield from the cut hair and shavings.
You should burn those in return for NFTs that are to be sold on secondary markets where all proceeds will go to Larva Labs to help them with centralised copyright claims when someone clones a hairless punk…
I think it would be good marketing exposure for Uniswap to have someome like Ed Sheeran shave Cobie’s head. Marketing towards the mainstream is as of yet underexplored, this will prove a light-hearted way to get a lot more normies to use both Uniswap and learn of the powers of DeFi governance. It will expose them to our culture rather than just the tech. It’ll generate hopes and dreams of passing similar proposals, building similar projects and generally “making it” in ways not possible in conventional organisations. Setting the story and the narrative are essentially the most important thing when immortalising ideas and trying to grow DeFi far beyond what any single organisational structure could achieve.
The timing of this proposal is well-suited since Uniswap is being deployed on layer two solutions where fees go down and more users can be introduced and accomodated. Uniswap should strive the be the place where all these new users learn of DeFi, rather than a competitor.
Lastly, Cobie probably has enough integrity to return the excess funds if this proposal indeed goes through. He has dark comedic appeal, which is relatable to normie audiences, and especially the kind of audiences who wish to break free from their traditional day jobs and lifestyle.
As a UNI token holder I didn’t have enough time to signal my full support to previous thought leadership proposal, so I would hereby like to voice my unconditional 100% support to this one. I believe that shaving ones head is the strongest form of thought leadership at least since Britney Spears famously shaved her head following her ascend to fame after releasing the hit “Baby One More Time” in 2007. She thought lead the whole generation of thought leaders. I believe it is time for DeFi to enter mainstream thought leadership movement and I dont see anyone better equipped to follow Britney down this path than another blonde pop music icon - Crypto Cobain.
Love to see it! Plus this post alone might draw more ppl like me who have never used the governance forums before. This is triple win! This unironically deserves grant moneys
A request - If Uniswap Devs have blocked someone on twitter, can the Cobie Fund be used to pay the devs so that they can unblock them? Asking for a fren
