We at Penguin Party are running a multi-sig with three co-delegates (I’m one of them!) and developing an application to interact with Uniswap governance. As well, we developed and deployed the Uniswap implementation of Autonomous Proposals.

We are the only Decentralized Delegation on Uniswap, and we are totally community-run.
Anyone can join us in our discord and begin contributing to the future of Defi governance with a slew of feature-rich discord integrations to ensure the community gets a say in our development. : )

Hey there Penguins!

Today, we’re proud to announce that we are preparing to introduce Fish :fish:, a new social currency to control PenguinParty.eth governance on an off-chain solution such as http://snapshot.page.

We’d like you to think of this like Layer-2 of governance. By delegating to PenguinParty.eth, you can get your voice heard without paying all that pesky gas. This is exactly the kind of solution the little guy, the regular user, needs for governance.

Fish :fish: is a social currency that will:

  • Function as a reward mechanism to reward our delegators the right to vote in how Penguin Party will actually vote on-chain.
  • -Function as a reward mechanism for software contributions to Penguin Party.
  • -And will reward technical and non-technical users alike for discord discussions and ideation.

We have a working SourceCred Instance up on our Github which you can check out right now to view the current “Cred” leaderboard, a measurement of everyone’s current contributions to the project’s code and discussions!

Greetings Penguins!
We promised you :fish:, and now they are here!

You may find the token contract for :fish: on the Ethereum mainnet at the address: 0x30bcd71b8d21fe830e493b30e90befba29de9114

Every Penguin Party Voter has now received 1,000 :fish: as of BlockNumber#:11122755.

This was done by creating a dune analytics query to find unique addresses delegating to hiturunk.eth and penguinparty.eth, minting, and airdropping the tokens directly to users’ wallets in a batch transaction, which you can find here: https://etherscan.io/tx/0xb5d8e7dc65a544ba5cc9cfa3449aa22b00d79f006768c04482b7738739bb4138

The Initial Token minting was approximately as follows:
200,000 Total Supply
47,000–1,000 for each voter
15,000–5,000 for each founder, cComp, Hiturunk, Ncitron
Founder Bonus — Hiturunk: 25k
113,000 to multi-sig for treasury

The current Gnosis multi-sig address ENS is: penguinparty.eth and the address is: 0x686B4535FF6573cef3FF37419A4fc6Ac775Ec7ea

The multi-sig will function as the treasury for Penguin Party that co-delegators will control as stewards of the Penguin Party.

The multi-sig will act in the spirit of the community through off-chain voting @ an incoming http://www.snapshot.page Space we are working on implementing.

As we progress, we will implement new methods of onboarding co-delegates and further decentralize the Penguin Party and we are proud to have completed a major milestone in our project today and given you :fish:!

I’m really digging the idea of a DAO on top of a DAO.

I believe there is a place for it in the Uniswap governance system, and it is needed.
Having a functional 2nd layer DAO would allow us to make small qualitative decisions that are extremely valuable when it comes to development and governance incentivization.

It is pointless to make half a billion USD worth of UNI vote on a grant of 100k when we can do it on a smaller scale in an open, inclusive, and decentralized manner.

Let Your Vote Be Heard! — :penguin:Penguin Party Fish​:fish: Can Now Be Used for Voting!

The Penguin Party is proud to announce that :fish: can now be used for proposing and voting in Penguin Party Governance on Snapshot.page: https://snapshot.page/#/penguin-party/community

This means that now the voters truly get to have their votes heard on Uniswap by delegating to the decentralized PenguinParty.eth multi-sig controlled by three co-delegators and moving their decision-making to layer 2, that is: offchain.

With Snapshot, the community can now ideate and inform the co-delegators on governance issues pertinent to the community and inform the party’s decision-making in a safe, pseudonymous, and trustless manner…and best of all? No gas required!

The first Proposal was already submitted, entitled: “Should PenguinParty vote Yes or No on Proposal 2 for Uniswap? #QmQF8c4” —

Current Tally of Votes…

IN OTHER NEWS:

  • A major flaw in Wrapped-Delegated Uni V1 was detected by an observant user, and after internal discussions the co-delegators unanimously decided we would award them our first-ever bounty of 1,000 :fish:!
    (We will target redeployment after further internal testing)
  • A Bug Bounty plan is in the works!
  • The Penguin Party dapp is developing nicely and multiple developers have joined the project.
  • Three users missed out on the airdrop and will be compensated by the multi-sig treasury for the 1,000 :fish: they missed out on, by vote of the multi-sig.
  • Community member Pooryia submitted some BEAUTIFUL logos!
