WHY A COW

The DAO is a powerful, chaotic entity with almost unlimited potential upside: it’s the only entity able to gather talent from all over the world wanting to contribute to it in an industry, crypto, that has the highest growth speed so far. This means that inherently there is a need for delegates able to properly evaluate initiatives that are not only the best suited for this growth but also don’t create tail risks for our ecosystem.

The main goals of the DAO should be to assess the best contributors, proposals, and programs, and leverage them. There is and will always be a high degree of experimentation. This is natural in a field where there is no playbook and decentralization is a key characteristic. Ensuring the key role of Uniswap as one of the most important dApp of crypto is the main goal to which I want to commit.

Since I am a builder first, I firmly believe there has to be a higher representation of people working in protocols in the DAO, because while Governance entities can for sure do a great work, usually builders are the one having enough skin in the game to be able to provide a specific point of view.

As a Jones contributor, one of my focus is providing concentrated liquidity in the most important dexes, and this aligns me in being more involved in the Uniswap ecosystem: despite tons of different models out there, and with a very few exception, liquidity participant tend to prefer Uniswap as a platform, and as byproduct we tend to have on average a better depth and a better yield in Uniswap pools.

So far I have contributed to this ecosystem by being part, for almost a year now (thanks to the extended runaway we gathered for protocols), of the UAGP . I have brought my builder vision in there while helping Uni growth as much as possible.

Disclosure of Conflicts of Interest:

I am part of Jones, I contribute heavily in Arbitrum, and contribute/advise several protocols. In case a situation will arise in which there is a specific, non apparent, COI, I will disclose it to the interested stakeholders.

[Snapshot] UAC 3 renewal
Voted for. A strong workgroup of aligned stakeholders is needed in a landscape that is more and more competitive on the dex side of this world.

[Snapshot] Approved Budgets Rebalancing
Voted for. Budget rebalancing is an issue that is in every DAO. There should be more attention in the design phase of a program, but when something is running solving the economic problem is important to maintain trust of all stakeholders involved.

[Snapshot] Uniswap delegate tie race
Voted to create a 16th spot. The whole point about the incentive program is to enlarge participation of new delegates. The current rules are not granular enough to allow for a leaderboard that doesn’t create several ties, and this should be addressed for cycle 3. At the same time, gatekeeping 1 entity that is really pushing to participate to the governance in a more active way seems a quite negative outcome, and would not make sense if one just take an high level view of the mission of the reward incentive program, foster new applicants.

[Tally] Proposal to active 2, 3, 4 bps fee-tiers on Base
Voted for. It makes sense to have this flexibility for lpers to setup the pool that mosts suit them, so that Uniswap can get back market share on Base.

[Tally] Uniswap Accountability S3 Renewal and Rebalance
Voted for. While I don’t think all 3 topics should have been batched, they all have their merits in approvals:

  • budget rebalancing: confirmed snapshot vote
  • delegate race tiebraker: sustains what I did vote already in snapshot (include Tané)
  • UAC season 3: confirmed snapshot vote.

[Tally] Forse Analytics for Uniswap Revitalization and Growth Program
Voted for. I think forse can be a new player in the dashoboard and analytic industry in crypto, and the fact that is run by Stable labs, while could generate in a few instances COI, is definitely positive because is tied to an entity well entrenched in Uniswap.

[Snapshot] Uniswap Accountability Committee S3 Elections
Voted all for Doo. He is a force of good in this Dao, and I had the pleasure to work with him in the UAGP. I know how he works and I know how he is committed.

[Snapshot] [TEMP CHECK] - Onboarding Package for Lisk
Voted for. The matching of funds is just too appealing, and is a good way to bootstrap market share in that chain.

[Snapshot] Uniswap Growth Program Trial)
Voted for. Is a good way to bootstrap some sort of BD from a DAO standpoint. The fact that is a trial will allow us to understand of the initiatve is effectively working or not.

[Tally] [Updated] Forse Analytics for Uniswap Revitalization and Growth Program
Voted a strong for. Not only I think the product from stablelab is quite good and only needs a public run to show the capabilities, the cost for which is offered for 4 chains plus how much Doo is close to the Uniswap world makes it extremely compelling.

[Tally] Uniswap Growth Program Trial Vote onchain
Confirming the previous snapshot vote

[Snapshot] [TEMP CHECK] - Tally Uniswap Proposal
Voting for. Tally is the go-to platform for onchain governance, and having them as strong partner means also supporting them through a grant for specific development. While I can understand concerns of people of non mutually exclusive relationship of Tally with Uniswap, having them as the de facto leader in the governance industry and knowing the position of Uniswap in crypto, it would be way less beneficial to not assign the funds highlighted in the proposal than doing it.
