For the discussion and informal consensus-gathering work related to potential governance proposals.
Dear Noah,
I hope you don’t mind me contacting you here. I’m writing The Economist’s new executive-education course on fintech and as part of that am profiling UNISWAP for our students, who are senior professionals in finance and other industries. I’ve been trying to reach your media team but unfortunately my email to media@uniswaplabs.org bounced. I wondered whether you might be able to advise me as to the best way to take this media query forward, please.
Best regards,
Martin

I think the key question isn’t whether LPs should receive 100% of fees or whether the protocol should capture some revenue. The real question is how to maintain LP profitability if protocol fees are activated.
If protocol fees reduce LP revenue, then capital efficiency becomes more important. LP capital shouldn’t simply sit idle when it is out of range or in low-productivity states. Mechanisms that can dynamically move capital between fee generation and external yield sources may help offset the reduction in LP earnings while still allowing the protocol to generate revenue.
In my view, the long-term success of a fee switch depends not only on the fee percentage itself, but also on the availability of tools that improve LP returns through better capital utilization
