[RFC] Lens Chain Application for Canonical Uniswap V3 Deployment

Overview

This proposal seeks recognition from the Uniswap DAO for the Lens Chain deployment of Uniswap V3 as canonical. Uniswap V3 contracts have already been deployed and verified on Lens Chain mainnet, with ownership transferred to the Uniswap DAO timelock. By adopting this deployment as official, the DAO would support Uniswap’s presence within a purpose-built SocialFi ecosystem, bringing decentralized liquidity to a novel and growing user base.

About

Lens Chain is a high-performance Ethereum L2 built using the ZKsync stack, optimized for SocialFi applications. It is the canonical home of the Lens Social Primitives and supports gasless, signless transactions along with USD payment rails, enabling intuitive onboarding for both Web3-native and mainstream audiences. Lens Chain is home to a variety of applications at the intersection of social and financial utility.

Benefits to Uniswap

Adopting the Lens Chain deployment as the canonical instance of Uniswap V3 presents a strategic opportunity to expand Uniswap’s reach into a purpose-built SocialFi ecosystem. Lens Chain is home to applications that blend financial functionality with social primitives, offering a unique environment for Uniswap’s protocol to serve a new class of users. By anchoring itself within this network, Uniswap can facilitate low-cost token swaps, deepen liquidity, and power novel social-driven trading experiences. The integration aligns with Uniswap’s long-term goal of increasing protocol usage and network effects across high-growth ecosystems, while also reinforcing its role as the default exchange layer in consumer-facing Web3 platforms.

Bridges

The primary liquidity bridge for Lens Network is the ZKSync Shared Bridge, which facilitates communication between ZK Chains and Ethereum mainnet.

Across is a core bridging partner for Lens Network, offering an intent-based solution for bridging liquidity. Together, these bridges enable applications and users to bridge liquidity in the Lens ecosystem.

Frontend

Frontend support on https://oku.trade expected to go live April 28.

Lens community-built frontend also in development (https://swap-testnet.lenscan.io).
