[RFC] Principles for Uniswap DAO

Attention delegates: the on-chain vote for the Principles will begin on January 11.

The on-chain vote will establish the text of the Principles under the uniswap.eth ENS name, recorded under the Uniswap DAO Principles key. The text of the Principles remains unchanged from the Temperature Check.

There are at least two good reasons for confirming the Principles through an on-chain vote:

  1. Following to governance process: this follows the Uniswap DAO governance process as described in this forum and the Principles themselves, which stress the importance of maintaining on-chain records.
  2. Demonstrating broad support: reaching the on-chain quorum is significantly more challenging than passing a snapshot vote. Achieving the 40M quorum votes will show that the Principles have broad support among delegates, which is crucial for their adoption.
